I began by designing a camping gear symbol set. All of my symbols were created using the same grid. I first made a black and white symbol set and then transitioned my symbols to color. After that, I decided to make a book called "The Unfortunate Adventures of Camper Joe." The book is about a man who goes camping, but forgets all of the neccesary supplies. It's a spin and play book for children to help then learn what kind of things they should pack if they go camping. There's a rhyme with a blank and the children have to spin the picture to reveal what item Joe forgot. At the end of the book, there is a packing list. All of the images, content, and illustrations are my own.
